The first Gamerscore Challenge for 2010 is in the books, and we're happy to have hosted another friendly, yet heated, competition for the January challenge. We had 11 people looking to take the top spot, but only one came out on top as the undisputed winner of this challenge!
The eleven of participants managed a total of 13,290 points in just two weeks. We might have gotten over 13,330 if our once sleeper, Brandon 'Cakeytaste' Tabbert had pushed himself to manage even 10 gamerscore points during the push to glory for many others. More than 6 out of the 11 managed an pretty impressive 1,000 gamerscore or more.
Now for the breakdown of placements. In 3rd place, Netprints garnered 1,770 points. He looked to be quite the competitor early on in the challenge, and fell off in the second week. Maneatingcow23 placed 2nd in the points standings with a cool 3,000 points. And in 1st place, and winner of the January 2010 Gamerscore Challenge.... Axe Argonian. Axe Argonian, our very own Phillip, grabbed himself over 3,265 points to claim the crown in this bout of ultimate gamerscore achievers.
Congratulations to Axe and everyone else who participated. If you didn't get a chance to particpate in this challenge, fret not, there will be a new challenge in the coming months. Join the next challenge and you could win a $15 game off of the Playstation Network or Xbox LIVE Arcade service via Amazon like Axe did! Axe Argonian in ALL his glory

Jan 19 2010 22:30:23 It was a fun race, guys. Financially, though, I doubt I'll be able to pull something like this off in any near-future GS challenges.
Kyle, I will PM you when I have decided which XBLA game that I'll redeem as a prize. |
