The Loading Reality Gamerscore Challenge is about to be under way, and we'd like you to join in for the fun! The sign up for the November 2009 challenge is currently up in the forums, and will be there until November 1, 2009 - when the challenge will start.

We will be giving away one title to the winner with the most gamerscore at the end of the challenges completion. The game will be an Xbox Live Arcade title chosen by the winner from the list on amazon.com that is under $15. That means you could turn back time with Braid, or even roll around your giant head after winning in Madballs.

We certainly enjoy the challenge amongst fellow gamerscore whores, and we're ok calling ourselves that when it comes to giving the community the shot to pick up another awesome XBLA title to add to their library while pursuing the fun in running some of the funnest games coming out now. Please don't forget though, we have many members of the community who are simply gamers playing games who just so happened to earn some gamerscre  points. That's entirely fine, and even welcomed! With Modern Warfare 2, Forza Motorsport 3, Borderlands, and even the recently release Halo 3 ODST, everyone will have the new games in their hands to get some solid points from.

With the latest LoadingReality.com Gamerscore Challenge complete with nothing more than tears for some and a little pride and joy for a few. This challenge ran from September 1 - 15, 2009 and caused some interesting competition. We pulled together a few friends and ran this like any other friendly competition we've got running around the community.

Bigpapirick was the decisive leader very early in the competition and seemed to have nice solid stack of titles to pull from to get himself at the top, and stay there.  Rick earned a total of 2,335 gamerscore and is this months Winner of the challenge! His next closest competitor was Ryan (gamertag - U2NUMB) who was 770 points away from sweet victory but got second place. Kwyz came in third with a total of 555 gamerscore.

There was even groundbreaking moments that occurred during the challenge, like maneatingcow23 reaching the double digit gamerscore club while managing to get 10,420 points and grabbing a total of 440 points earned during the challenge. One of our newest resident Philadelphians, padave, earned a total of 440 gamerscore as well. This lead to the first ever tie for those winning the XBLA titles in any prior Gamerscore Challenge at LR!

Congrats to everyone who participated, and those folks a spot or two up the leaderboard who graciously pass along the prizes to maneatingcow23 and padave. One earning Worms 2 while the other will receive Madballs in Babo: Invasion for the XBLA. Thanks to all who participated, and we look forward to seeing you in the next Loading Reality Gamerscore Challenge in early November!

As our good friend Porky Pig would say, "We have finished an epic Community Playdate in Red Faction: Guerrilla!" I think that's right, at least.

LoadingReality.com has wrapped up it's first Xbox.com Community Playdate and it's hard to imagine it being a greater success. As of 3:10AM EST this morning, double-XP had ended on all coasts and we still had a big ol' custom game going strong. The entire week was fantastic and filled with as many quality gamers we could have asked for. At a quick glance, Loading Reality staff played with and against some 200-240 gamers and we're incredibly excited to announce winners of all the Volition and LR prizes.

But first a word of thanks.

Volition, Inc. is an incredibly community-oriented developer and leapt at the chance to donate prizes for this event. Some gamers were even pleased to find there was a staff member or two from the studio playing in the Playdate! A special thanks to those folks that came out in support of the event and played with, answered questions for, and entertained the masses. Also, a huge thank you to the people at Xbox.com for hosting LoadingReality.com's event. It was simply grand of you. To all the players that came out all week, you guys were fantastic. Red Faction: Guerrilla's community of gamers is as good as we've seen and a huge number of you are remaining on LR friends' lists across the site, as it was a blast getting to play with you.
