ghostreconFSlogo Ubisoft just announced the next Ghost Recon game will be called Future Soldier. They also detailed how Xbox 360 owners can get into the exclusive beta by buying Splinter Cell: Conviction. So it seems companies are starting to use the "Crackdown" model for getting into betas. This is a nice little perk for us Splinter Cell fans.

I've been a fan of the Ghost Recon series from the original Xbox. I don't know if there's room for another game like this in the market. There's Rainbow Six, Battlefield: BC 2, the Call of Duty series, Medal of Honor, etc. I think if they would have continued on from their last game I'd have an invalid point.. but there's been a break of going on 3 years since we've seen anything out of the GR series.

If the game is awesome, then sweet, color me excited.
