Resident Evil 5 has several expansions on the horizon and a new package to get them in if you (stupidly) skipped out on the game when it released earlier this year. Starting on February 17th, you'll be able to download the first episode of content, "Lost in Nightmares," on the 360 and on the PS3 a day later. March 3rd marks the release of the second DLC chapter which remains unnamed.

Should you have missed the game, however, and want to check out the game+DLC, Capcom has something for you. Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will include the full RE5 game, both DLC episodes and 2 costume packs (which can also be downloaded seperately). In addition, you will get a Mercs Reunion mode, which will sport 8 new characters and weapon loadouts. All of this will run you a paltry $49.99, impressive seeing as we can guess pretty accurately that the price of the DLC episodes will be $10.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition releases March 9th on 360 and PS3, and the DLC release dates are Feb. 17th/18th and March 3rd/4th. No price details yet for the individual episodes, but it would be shocking if it didn't come in right at $10.

Aaron: See, this is a great deal. Seeing as I already have the game I'll just be buying the DLC, but anyone who missed the game and passes this up is only several degrees removed from dumb. It's a fantastic game.
