Gamestop, never the most honest of release date publishers, has recently issued a street date for one of the most anticipated titles of 2010: Heavy Rain. According to Gamestop's game page for Heavy Rain, the title is available for preorder and shipping for February 16, 2010.

As mentioned, Gamestop's street and ship dates have not always been 100% accurate, and the website has occasionally been accused of creating release dates out of thin air in an effort to obtain preorders. That said, a reasonable amount of the dates on their release schedule do end up being correct.

February has (possibly) gotten bigger and almost looks like a holiday season after the holiday season. Other titles slated for February release? Dante's Inferno, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Bioshock 2, Singularity, Blur, Red Steel 2, Lost Planet 2, Star Trek Online, Everquest II: Sentinel's Fate, and Aliens vs. Predator, just to name a few.

Brandon: Gamestop release dates are certainly sketchy, but if this is true I am pleased in a way that can only be described as giddy.
