Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has has announced, via Twitter,  that the most recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 patch went to Microsoft for certification on Friday.

Here is what is going to be getting fixed in the next patch (these have already been patched on the PC and PS3):

• Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
• Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
• Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
• Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
• Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

Infinite Care Package and Other Problems Fixed in Next Modern Warfare 2 Patch Feb 08 2010 17:28:04 The unlimited care package glitch is incredibly annoying. I'm to the point with MW2 that if there's obvious exploits being used in every other match online, I'm not playing it until it's fixed. I know games have some glitches buy my God Infinity Ward. The only thing I will give them is addressing fairly quickly compared to the weeks we had to wait to get a patch from Treyarch for WaW. (under the level glitch)

What's sad is, even with this cheap tactic, some teams can barely eek out a win.

Infinite Care Package and Other Problems Fixed in Next Modern Warfare 2 Patch Feb 09 2010 22:25:06 It seems the closer you get to the update, the more people are care package glitching. Every single team oriented match, excluding search and destroy, has seen these douche care package glitchers. I can tolerate people who hold the care package grenade and run around like an Asian hooker on crack (under mount shotgun FTW), but care package glitchers piss me off.
