Puzzle Quest 2 Coming Spring 2010
Written by Brandon Tabbert Monday, 30 November 2009 10:00
Puzzle Quest, the award-winning gem-studded match-3 game will have a sequel. Announced today for Xbox LIVE Arcade and Nintendo DS, Puzzle Quest 2 will combine the trademark style with an enhanced real-time experience using all-new weapons, spells, and shields that make every decision meaningful and never passive.

Promising to be the deepest puzzle adventure yet, Puzzle Quest 2 is scheduled for release in Spring 2010 from D3Publisher. The game will feature its hallmark blend of match-3 gem matching and fantasy, with a simple but meaningful role playing experience where players can choose any of four character classes; War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Assassin. Each character class provides interesting twists during multiple play-throughs as players reclaim the once peaceful village of Verloren from the evil clutch of the demon Gorgon. Players will be able to level up each character to progress through the adventure in Story Mode or even dive into Instant Action, Tournament Mode, or Mutliplayer Mode for a rich and diverse experience.
Peter Andrew, vice president of product development, D3P, had the following to say via press release:
Puzzle Quest is an award winning franchise with numerous accolades including an Interactive Achievement Award for “Best Downloadable Game of the Year” for Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. Puzzle Quest 2 returns with a captivating, rewarding, and accessible journey for gamers of all levels as the ultimate delivery system for the mental release puzzle gamers seek.
Brandon: Oh, happy day! Puzzle Quest is awesome and good and awesome and very good. I'm stoaked for the sequel and plan on spending quite a bit of time with it. If anyone hasn't tried it, I heartily recommend it.

Puzzle Quest 2 Coming Spring 2010
Nov 30 2009 18:12:15 As tempted as I was, I never grabbed the first one. I kind of felt like a fool for not snatching it up when it was on the 'Deal of The Week' some time ago..
I got 3,300 points to burn, maybe I'll have a few left by the time this comes around. |
