RFG: Guerrilla Multiplayer DLC Goes Live!
Written by Manny - Hispanic At The Disco Thursday, 17 September 2009 21:53

As of September 17th, new multiplayer DLC for Red Faction: Guerilla is available on the XBox Live Marketplace for 560 MS Points:
"Download the Red Faction®: Guerrilla™ Multiplayer Pack and dismantle the opposition in two new multiplayer modes and eight new maps. In Bagman, players scores points by securing the “bag” and taking out their opponents. Increase the carnage in Team Bagman, where the same rules apply, but players are forced to utilize teamwork and guerrilla tactics to eliminate the opposition. Experience a constant sense of vertigo in the new map Puncture, or smash your way through Remnant where the density of destruction is higher than any other multiplayer level".
The list of new maps is as follows:
- Broadside
- Compound
- Division
- Equilibrium
- Gradient
- Haven
- Puncture
- Remnant
Also included is a new deathmatch type called "Big Boomer" where players start out with the heavier weapons (i.e. thermobaric rocket, singularity mines, rocket launcher, etc.)
Note: these new maps don't seem to be available in any of the other match types, which is dissappointing and I hope will be remedied soon.
Update: After checking the forums at RedFaction.com, it has been confirmed by a moderator that the new maps were not made immediately available for the current playlists in order to encourage players to try the new Bagman playlists. However, the new maps WILL be available for other playlists ASAP.
Hispanic! At The Disco - I'm in the process of downloading the DLC now! I've been waiting for this new DLC ever since LR's Q&A with Volition. Seriously, am I the only one about to mess his pants over this?

RFG: Guerrilla Multiplayer DLC Goes Live!
Sep 19 2009 17:57:51 I really dig the maps I've played on so far, however...I am getting pretty sick of only being able to play Bagman or Team Bagman on them. In my opinion, it was a poor move on Volition's part to not simply create a seperate playlist for the DLC to include the other match types instead of forcing everyone to play Bagman. I mean, Bagman is fun but not THAT much fun.
