Microsoft has just announced that Xbox LIVE gamers will now be able to sign up for the Zune/Twitter/Facebook preview program. The preview program gives all gamers a chance to test the new features before they become available to the public sometime next month.

If you would like to sign up for the program, head on over to this page, complete the survey, and submit your application.

Major Nelson also highlighted a few points regarding the preview program in his blog:

• We’re looking for multiple thousands of participants, so your chances of making it in are good.
• This opportunity is open to all Xbox LIVE Members in regions where Xbox LIVE is available.
• Just completing the survey does not automatically get you access to the Preview Program. We’ll be making final selections from the completed surveys and send you an email if you are selected.
• While both Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up, Priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process.

Philip: I just completed the survey, but I wasn't able to submit it since Microsoft Connect is experiencing some errors at the moment. On the other hand, I'm disappointed that Last.Fm is being excluded from the preview beta.
