This is the Fuel vehicle that tops out 210 MPH, but the catch is that it's only available in one challenge in an area with a limited set of textures. And why is that? Glitch it out of the challenge and into free roam and you'll find out.

I've played a little bit of this game, and from the time I've spent with it the game forces me to love how massive it is and then kick me in the balls for throwing $60 at it when probably should have been a $50 game. The fact that you can hit this random as grass in the middle of the road, and then hit that same type of 'grass' in the road and you soon find out it evidently was a log in the road.. When I'm doing 120 mph in these cars, how in the hell do you expect me to use discretion to avoid all of the dark spots in the road that could be a log OR a harmless patch of weeds.

So are you able to save the car outside of that one race and come back and use the car the next time you get on to play?

There is a trick to getting it outside that one challenge. You have to load up the challenge and then join an online race. You can google it for the exact trick. The vehicle is called the Damocles.

As for the value of the game, you can get it from Gamefly for under $50. Closer to $40 with the 10% discount or a gamefly dollars fiver.

Oh, and if there was one thing that pisses me off about the game, it's that the computer racers don't seem to be subject to the same physics simulation if they are more than a certain distance from you. It generates this sort of unintentional rubberband... but it does help balance things if you took a killer off-road shortcut.

I've still got the game, I just haven't put a whole lot of time into it at all.

And any form of rubberband AI, in any racing game, pisses me off. It's like saying, "we've got such horrible code for the AI, we need them to just sit on your bumper the entire race not matter how good you are."

Grr.

Oh, you can get one hell of a lead on your opponents and they won't remotely catch up unless you screw up really bad.

The point is that there is no "intentional" rubberbanding in Fuel. It's just a result of some of the optimizing.
