I think I ventured out one time for Black Friday, and I'm pretty much sold on the fact that it's not worth getting in a few pushing matches to get in doors. They had better have the tree of life inside bearing fruit for me to get back in that crowd. The last time I went was around 4 years ago... it's just insane the amount of women ready to cut people to be the first to the goods.

I was just curious if anyone else has chanced their well being either for a few good deals on Black Friday in the past, or do you have plans to do so this year?

If I was going to get up that early, I'd just sit up on Amazon at 3 am and pull the best deals on the web from there and place like Newegg and Buy.com. These websites can pull down the most competitive deals with retailers and you don't have to even lose any teeth!

I've been 1 time, and since the experience wasn't traumatizing, I'll be coming back this year. Hooray for falling asleep at 3 in the after noon and waking up at like 2 AM to be at Best Buy!

Black Friday will die off in the next handful of years. As internet shopping becomes more of the standard there is really no need for all that drama.

I won't be going out on Black Friday but I will be dropping a ton of cash on Amazon Friday and then again on Cyber Monday.

The only time I went out on Black Friday was back in high school and that was to go hang at the arcade (remember those?) and check out the girls at the mall.

I actually agree with you entirely, Rick. The thing about online shopping, they can change the price of a competing major retailer across the town from you with a few simple clicks. I still enjoy going in person to get stuff I can see the quality of like clothes and high end electronics.

I like how after Wal-Mart put out their deal for the cheap HDTV's, everyone else seemed to follow suit from Sears to Target and a few others. I don't really care what brand it is, for $250 I'll take any brand LCD TV. Happy Black Friday shopping to those who are enduldging right now.
