I'll admit, this is pretty epic...

...but I'll take a shitty local garage band
playing Beatles covers in a broom closet
any day! =D

I don't think anyone who is breathing can agree with you on that Grim.

And that stage looks like how I pictured Heaven, almost. I don't care if AC/DC, KISS, or Elvis sang on that stage, it still doesn't change how mind blowing that setup is.

That would be amazing to see in person. How much did you give for the tickets Ryan?

Kyle... here is the great thing about U2... the best tickets, right up on the floor.. 55 bucks. So that is where I shall be..

and here is a good shot of what that center video screen can do..

And Grim... your an idiot... you have no idea what it is like to have 90k people singing along.. its mind blowing... fuck your local garage band.

Both are individual experiences that are great in their own way. See, we can all be right! =]

Also, the biggest concert I went to was to see Metallica. It fucking sucked. Not because of the venue, I just really don't like Metallica.

Both are different experiences, but if there was a choice between that venue and one with 300 people at it both showing the same band, I'd pick the smaller one every single time. The razzle dazzle effect is nice but concerts are all about the band and the music, both of which suffer when you're playing to that many people.

It totally depends on the band and its fans... for U2.. they really do work in a stadium setting.. something about that many people singing along just turns the place into an awesome place to listen to music.

True, many bands make "stadium music" (and U2 does it better than most anyone else). Still, I think I'd like to be close enough to touch Bono. That feeling of intimacy has turned concerts I didn't really want to be at into something special before.
