While browsing the b.net for probably the fifth time that I do everyday, I came across something on the blog. You might find these screenshots interesting assuming Halo Reach interests you. And since you did click on this thread link, I bet you do.

From the looks of it, the lobby system in Halo Reach matchmaking is going to change drastically Halo 3.

Screenshot 1 appears to show what the main lobby is going to look like. You can not only choose what playlist you want and edit your search preferences, but you can see a list of your individual friends that are also on Halo Reach and see what they are doing, how big their party is, current rank, ect. No more having to check party details.

Screenshot 2 to me is confirmation that the vetoing system will not be returning, at least not in free-for-all playlists. It appears to be a voting system where each player votes for one of four options (three pre-defined gametypes/maps and a none of the above option) and majority rules is determined by the arrow to the left.

Screenshot 3 and Screenshot 4 interest me the most out of these however. Looks like you can not only search for games specific to good connection, similar skill level, and same language, but you can define your searches to be precise to the people you play with in a social aspect. Listed are chattiness, motivation, teamwork, and tone. I am unsure as to whether you determing where you as a player fall in each category or other players reviews on you post game.

I'm sure since these were posted on the b.net blog they are legitimate. And seeing how tomorrow is friday, I'm sure Bungie will write something of these in the update.

If I here anything, I'll post.

On your friends list. If all the potential multiplayer modes have been Xbox Liv-erated, we should be able to tackle the Challenges as a four man team.

Oh yea, I forgot all about your review. I went ahead and grabbed a set from BestBuy.com. The only complaint I have is they're super expensive compared to what I picked up the AX360 for over 2 years ago.. the AX360 was only $80'ish and this is costing me over $200 (with a 2 year Best Buy warranty).

I should have them Wednesday or Thursday. I will confirm or deny your review here in another week or two. Good review btw.

I could use a little more variety in the level design. The action and gameplay are so crazy and awesome but when you take a minute to look around at the levels you are driving in, they are actually pretty blah. I want more bridges and ramps and cliffs and crazy obstacles to use against your opponents. Maybe the cooler levels will be in the full game--I mean they would have to be, right?

What would be really cool is if they combined the power up fighting of Blur with the scenery destruction of Split/Second. That could possibly be the best cart racing game ever made.

I didn't pick up the DLC pack but I really do enjoy the multiplayer. I think it's a lot more fun than anyone really expected out of it as well.
